What is Hi55 and Pay Asset Finance?

We’ve created a new type of finance, called Pay Asset Finance. This is a new asset class that makes payroll accessible for everyone.

For companies, Hi lets them defer payroll by 30 - 60 days and release the capital back into the business. This means we can help companies improve financial liquidity, access a new source of working capital and, with our flexible pay products for employees, we can help businesses attract and retain the best talent.

For employees, Hi’s products mean they can freely access their money and be paid when they want. This will give employees greater control of and access to the money they have earned.

THE PROBLEM

Hi55 delivers a two-fold solution, one for corporates and the other for employees.

For corporates: Cash is the lifeblood of any company. With an estimated US$ 20.3 trillion available as Pay Asset Finance in OECD countries, Hi-Working capital represents a new and strategic source of liquidity for companies by generating working capital via payroll at competitive rates. 

For employees: Research shows that 94% of employees worry about money and 77% say it affects their work. In fact, according to the FCA, in 2017, around four in five (78%) UK adults hold at least one credit or loan product (or have done so in the last 12 months.). Currently, the only options are salary advance providers or pay day lenders – these services always charge a fee and can often land an individual in further debt, increasing their financial vulnerability.

THE SOLUTION
Why Hi matters

For corporates: Hi helps companies optimise existing cashflow by releasing working capital from payroll. Pay Asset Finance (PAF) enables companies to cover working capital needs without having to access additional funding or put their cashflows under pressure.

For employees: Hi gives employees greater control of and access to the money they have earned – gone is the monthly payday. With Hi, employees can view and access their earnings weekly or in real time – no need to wait for a monthly payday.

Real-Time Pay

Hi55 has significant first-mover advantage with the creation of a completely new asset class, ‘Pay Asset Finance’ creating flexible pay deferral. The Aite Group estimates that Hi55’s Pay Asset Finance has a potential market of US$ 20.3 trillion in the OECD countries –40% of the OECD GDP (as of 2019). This means that Hi55 has a market solution that appeals to both public and private sector organisations wanting to increase employee wellbeing and financial flexibility.

Corporate Payroll Agreements

Fintech start-up Hi55 Ventures has secured the backing of a global investment firm with over $50 billion of assets under management. The project is a pivotal trial in the evolution of Hi55 Ventures’ Pay Asset Finance, a global first solution operated by innovator NTT DATA which enables businesses to generate working capital through payroll while offering real-time pay to employees.  

Mastercard partnership:

Hi55 has also partnered with Mastercard to launch a market-first salary access card, enabling people to access their pay as soon as they’ve earned it. 

Similar to a debit card, the card gives employees direct access to money they’ve earned in real-time, with a limit in line with their earnings. By changing how people are paid, Hi puts them directly in charge, and in control, of their pay for better budgeting. The card, issued by Railsbank – the leading global Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, is available to employees of companies who have signed up to Hi55 Ventures’ platform,

WHAT WE DO
Unlocks Working Capital & Flexible Payroll

The Platform:

Hi55 helps companies unlock fast, affordable working capital and pay employees more flexibly through its new, unique asset class called Pay Asset Finance. Hi-Weekly, Hi-Anytime, and Hi-Working Capital are products which improve financial wellbeing for employees, and liquidity for companies.

Pay Asset Finance allows companies to defer payroll by 30- 60 days and release the capital into the business, while Hi-Weekly allows employees to access their pay weekly. Hi-Anytime offers total financial control for employees, while Hi-Working Capital offers low-cost working capital for employers by deferring their payroll by 8 – 12 weeks.

THE BUSINESS MODEL
Making Pay, Pay for Employers & Employees

Hi charges the employer an employee wellbeing membership fee to use the Hi platform per employee every month. For Hi-Working Capital, our other product, there is a funding fee linked to the credit rating of the business, charged to the company.
